Lochboisdale is situated to the south east of South Uist and is an ideal port of entry to the islands. Whether using the Harbour for commercial purposes or island hopping by yacht, there are a fantastic range of facilities for all:

If exploring on foot there are scenic walks all around Lochboisdale, and from the old pier out to Gasay Island where the new Harbour has been constructed. There are also gardens and pathways for visitors to enjoy as well as a small selection of shops.
The Harbour was newly constructed in 2015 and is part of the community owned estate managed by the Stòras Uibhist group of companies that reinvests profits back into the local community.
